About Margo

Welcome to Wellbeing with Margo.

2020 was a year, at best, of reflection and refreshment, taking time to reflect on life, how to best serve others and myself and updating and refreshing my offerings to adapt to our new world.

I’m Margo and I love what I do. I’m happiest doing what I do every day, helping people feel better and helping to create a healthier, happier, kinder, greener world.

Margo Singleton

Having taught movement for 10 years, I love to pass on what I have learned through teaching Pilates and Franklin Method techniques and life-enhancing retreats and events.

Our bodies talk to us every day. We wake up feeling different every day. My movement classes teach methods that are about restoring connections, making movement interesting and enjoyable. I believe movement should be restorative not punishing, functional for everyday movement and not just going with fashionable trends. In my classes you will learn how the body works so you move well and with ease and confidence and feel great.

If you feel overwhelmed, in need of a break, a breather, a hit stop button then join me on a transformational experience however long or short so you can bathe in joyful self-care, relax, recharge and rejuvenate your mind and body.

The way you look on the outside comes from the work you do on the inside.

When you nourish yourself with good food, hydrate your muscles and your organs and use clean products that look after your skin and the planet, you will begin to glow from within.

As a Tropic Ambassador, I recommend wonderful natural skincare solutions that do not exploit people, other animals or the planet. Tropic products treat the skin, hair and nails, and are richly imbued plant based products full of purely natural ingredients that care for your skin so your skin feels and smells incredible. There is also a full range of award-winning sustainable, cosmetics.

I am at ease when…

I’m in a forest rather than a town centre. The feeling of my bare feet pressing into warm sand and paddling on a shoreline always makes me smile. Whether outdoors in nature, indoors with friends and family, warm fires, quiet conversations and lots of laughter, I am really grateful for everything and everyone I have in my life.

How did Wellbeing with Margo begin?

For over 20 years I worked in corporate marketing for a global Fortune 500 international hospitality company. My career looked extremely promising. But my personal life suffered. I divorced, became the sole breadwinner for my two wonderful children. Life was very stressful and I felt owned by my company with no way out.

While I loved my children and they gave and still give me great joy, I often felt lonely and trapped. One day I began to ask why?

I looked around, and it became clear that others felt the same way: overworked, burnt out, lacking in the family time I so desired more of. One day, sitting in a hotel in Dubai I had a ‘light bulb’ moment, and I decided that I knew I hadn’t come this far in my life to settle for professional accolades in exchange for my health and happiness and especially at the expense of my family life.

My intuition told me there is a better way

It was clear. I wanted to specialise in elevating the happiness and wellbeing of others.

I qualified in Pilates (I’d been enjoying Pilates practice for 15 years while doing my corporate job) and began my new life in 2012 after training with Body Control Pilates.

As an addition to my portfolio, I joined Tropic Skincare as an Ambassador to promote and recommend greener skincare with minimal waste and award winning natural products that are cruelty free and vegan. I’m committed to promoting these products and to grow my team of wellbeing professionals recommending natural products. You can take a virtual tour and shop here

And now I have joined my three favourite activities in one big warm hug, called Wellbeing with Margo. Please join me on a class, a private lesson, an event or retreat, all hosted through my Private Studio portal with Namastream. In addition I teach in person in my home studio shortly relocating to Edinburgh.
